Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The primary goal of the Private Well Pesticide Project (PWPS) was to provide information to homeowners and the general public on the presence of pesticides in private drinking water wells in geologically sensitive areas of Minnesota. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) Laboratory Services Division was unable to analyze the amount of water samples estimated. To address this concern, the MDA posted a Request for Proposals (RFP) to find and select a private laboratory that could assist with the analysis.
