Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of the contract was to secure professional graphic design services to develop nationwide marketing communications for MMCAP Infuse (known at the time as MMCAP). The contractor would translate MMCAP’s newly developed brand identity into visual marketing communications, maintaining the integrity and consistency of the brand. It was important that the designer had successful experience designing marketing communications to achieve business objectives, as well as being skilled in creating designs to capture the target market's attention and elicit the desired response while conveying the brand identity. It was equally important that the designer was highly skilled in translating marketing messages into original, exceptionally designed creative concepts and designing layouts to create integrated, national marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Brent Giebink, owner/designer, Giebink Design, is exceptionally fast while producing exceptional work. He completed projects quickly and always within the timeline. This also results in savings, as the total fees for a project are lower than many other designers because Brent can complete projects in fewer hours.

Evaluate the contractor's quality (5)
Brent Giebink understands marketing and the relationship between marketing and design. His designs are creative and beautiful, but they also achieve the business objective. Brent has a deep understanding of designing to gain the attention of the target market and to elegantly showcase the call to action. He understands branding and excels at creating designs that convey the brand identity across any platform (print, website, digital, signage, etc.). He has the versatility to design to convey the different personalities of brands. Brent is technically excellent. His files are built with optimal quality, free from technical errors. Printing vendors and publishers love his work, as they know there will not be issues during production. Brent has a deep understanding of production processes and is able to make recommendations to optimize the quality of the final product. He also knows how to design to meet accessibility guidelines. In short, the quality of his work is exceptional.

Giebink Design offers incredible value. Its fees are modest. Typically, to achieve this level of quality, one would pay much, much more (up to 50% to 200% more). As noted earlier, Brent is fast, utilizing fewer hours than other design firms would for the same project. This is borne out by the sample project budgets provided in the proposals.
