Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: Subsurface concrete pavement condition were required for upcoming rehabilitation work. Coring is problematic due to traffic and operator safety. Also, cores are limited and only take at discrete points. NDT is capable of nearly complete coverage. In my
experience the best investigation approach is one that incorporates NDT methods, followed by judiciously selected destructive
coring data.
