Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: AECOM will continue to provide assessment and evaluation services for Project 1007 to the MPCA. The FY21 proposed subsurface work includes:

Soil Delineation at Ideal Avenue Wetland Complex (IAWC). This includes advancing approximately 40 soil borings over a 3.15 acre parcel and collecting up to 160 sediment samples for analytical testing.

Seasonal Surface Water/Sediment/Groundwater Sampling. This includes the collection of 80 surface water samples, 10 sediment samples, and performing two rounds of quarterly groundwater sampling for the existing bedrock monitoring well, shallow well, and piezometer network (a total of 120 groundwater samples).

Groundwater/Surface Water Model Work Plan/Conceptual Site Model (CSM) Development. AECOM will use existing available modeling data to aid in developing quantitative modeling tools on a sub-regional scale to assist in the evaluation of Project 1007. AECOM will also continue to develop intuitive visualization tools that will aid in developing a comprehensive three-dimensional CSM.
