Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of the contract was to provide an evaluation of 1) the agency's readiness to implement a data mapping tool and 2) which of the available tools would best support the management, integration and governance of the agency's data assets. MnDOT believes the use of a data mapping tool will greatly enhance its ability to be an effective steward of the agency’s data assets. There weren’t any MNIT or MnDOT resources with this expertise. Therefore, this contract was necessary to obtain the expertise.

He did make the adjustments when requested.
