OHE does not have an architect assigned who can perform the duties required. This engagement was to have an experienced architect document the current state of systems; design mid-level business processes; catalog current systems; establish approaches to migrate data, decommission old technology, enforce security, enable regular additions/changes to programs, simplify maintenance and enhancements; define business architecture, enterprise solution standards, component breakdown structures, databases; oversee implementation of quality solutions, adherence to design directives; and provide knowledge transfer.

Satisfactory
Quality was satisfactory, however, some of the approaches and technologies used were determined to be less than ideal for long-term supportability by the organization.
High, but comparable to what contracted architectural resources charge.

The designed solution represented more of the architect’s vision of an ideal solution than a solution to address the organization’s needs. The solution exceeded what the organization needed, what they could afford, and would have taken years to implement. It may have been a good solution for a large organization, just not right-sized for this organization.
The project is ongoing but following a recent architectural assessment, it was determined to be in the best interest of the project and the organization to pursue alternative outside solutions rather than developing an in-house system. With this change in project direction, several contracted positions were no longer needed. This is one of those positions and the contract with the vendor was terminated.
