Windows Server 2008 Migration
JYRMXWTU
Minnesota Board of Medical Practice's (BMP) production licensing system still resided on a Windows Server 2008 R2 in 2019. Microsoft announced the product (Windows 2008) will reach the end of support on January 14, 2020. The MNIT server team has indicated the AGENCY must move the licensing system, including all programming codes, online services, utilities, reports, and database to a new server. The project will accomplish this move.

This project is an IT technology upgrade for the servers that host the mission critical licensing database/application for the Board regulated professional, such as physicians, physician assistants, etc.

Project was finished on time. Contractor could meet the major project milestone deadlines. Vendor’s contractor worked part time on this project. Due to his other business engagements, sometimes he didn’t reply to emails timely
The end quality is great; all deliverables were met. When there are issues that arise, the contractor is quick resolving them. Some additional testing would be preferable before deployments.
The contractor’s cost is reasonable.
Performance has been satisfactory. Contractor is very knowledgeable. Board of Medical Practice’s licensing system and database were able to be migrates to a new server with all requirements met.
