The contractor was hired to working in collaboration with the Office of Higher Education's Get Ready Program to implement college and career programing and interventions at Battle Creek Middle School. The contractor was to appoint a dedicated staff person to administer the college and career readiness programing. The dedicated staff person was to administer student and staff surveys and administer the Get Ready Curriculum.
The dedicated staff person was also responsible for introduce professional development to staff, with the goal of developing and implementing school specific interventions that would lead to school change focused on equity in education. The dedicated staff person was to recruit a
diverse team of school staff to serve as data utilization specialist to develop and implement school change interventions. The recruited staff were to be trained on the DataWise Improvement Process data utilization model. The team was responsible for
using curated data sets from Office of Higher Education, Minnesota Department of Education, and Fridley Middle School to inform their work. The contractor was responsible for providing time an space for continued coaching on the data utilization model. The contractor was also responsible for monitoring the progress of the team as well as reporting the outcome data for any specific interventions.

The contractor showed great commitment to the project. Throughout the completion of the project the contractor adhered to the agreed upon timeline for meetings, data review and implementation planning.
The contractor was responsible for utilizing school wide data to inform institutional change. The contract did not meet all of the designated benchmarks with respect to the proposal but did show marginal improvement across all indicators.
The contractor was able to complete the assigned work under the projected cost.
We were pleased with the contractors overall performance. We had to manage expectations due to the global pandemic which necessitated the project pivot to a virtual environment.
