Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: Architectural, geotechnical, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and cost estimating services required for site and exterior building renovations to the St. Cloud MN National Guard Armory (Project No. 16113). Renovations include: construct new bituminous in west Motor Vehicle Storage Compound (MVSC), construct new fencing around (MVSC), construct new bituminous in east Personal Owned Vehicle (POV) parking lot, construct new trash enclosure, construct new LED lighting in MVSC and POV parking areas, construct underground storm drainage chambers for entire site, construct new concrete steps with metal handrails at east and west entry doors, construct all new exterior doors and frames, tuck-point and seal all exterior brick, and remove existing clerestory glass block and replace with new translucent wall system. These consultant services were necessary because Military Affairs did not have in-house staff to accomplish the necessary architectural –engineering work.
