Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: State has been awarded a grant from the FHWA to deploy intelligent compaction (IC) and paver mounted thermal profiling
(PMTP) technologies through the Innovation Deployment Aid Demonstration. This grant is for training consultants, industry,
contractors, State staff, etc. as the knowledge is not wide spread when first implementing new technologies, creating training
products, funding for projects utilizing these technologies, specification developments and more. The objective of this contract is
to train local contractors on how to support the IC and PMTP technologies both in the field and in the office through various
software platforms. Contractor will obtain training from State and assist with providing support for select projects using the IC
and/or PMTP technologies during the construction season.
