Lighting Levels for Isolated Intersections Leading
99008W39
Combining lighting quality information with crash information in an effort to identify minimal lighting levels that provide visibility information for drivers and a point of reference to alert drivers. There are currently limited usable guidelines or recommendations that identify ¿adequate¿ lighting levels that provide sufficient information for drivers to negotiate an intersection and obtain enough information. Hence, the current research effort is intended to directly benefit MnDOT, LRRB, county engineers in Minnesota and provide foundational guidance for other states for rural isolated intersection lighting.
