Plymouth Truck Station Environmental Investigation
5144
Complete Subsurface Environmental Investigations related to residual petroleum contamination that was delaying construction of the Plymouth Truck Station expansion, design a soil vapor mitigation system, and oversee excavation of contaminated soil and installation of the vapor mitigation system. The goal was to limit and reduce risk associated with contaminated materials to MnDOT. The identification and remediation of known and suspected contaminated properties requires the use of specialized field equipment that the state does not own, as well as specialized OSHA safety training that most MnDOT employees do not have.
