Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The State needed assistance in providing the design plans and Special Provisions for the pedestrian accessibility improvement project, State Project 8708-14 on highway 68. State Project 8708-14 was accelerated to coincide with underground utility work being performed by the City of Canby. Due to staff limitations; without assistance, State staff would not have been able to deliver the design plans needed in time to meet the City’s schedule for letting and construction.
