The consultant populated details sheets with inspection values consistent with MnDOT’s Bridge and Structure Information System (SIMS). Essentially, this contract was a test run of the recording and coding guide. MnDOT did not have in-house staff available to dedicate to the effort, so consultant assistance was critical to completing the project.
