The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Metro District is planning to replace its Central Traffic Control System. This project utilized a systems engineering approach to develop the concept of operations, system requirements, procurement specifications and evaluation criteria to be used in the procurement process for the new system. This approach will guide MnDOT in making the most effective, efficient and economical purchase for the State.

The results of this contract are:

• Final Project Presentation
This contract was necessary to improve the overall efficiency of the traffic management system by upgrading the central traffic control system in the Twin Cities Metro area. This contract ensures that the new system will be both effective and cost efficient for the State.
