Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of the contract was to provide design services for the replacement of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway Bridge over T.H. 65 (Central Avenue) between 14th Avenue North and 18th Avenue North in Minneapolis.
It was necessary to enter into a contract because due to other project commitments, staff with the necessary expertise were unavailable to provide the needed services and meet the project schedule.
