Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The State would like to continue the production of two-page Technical Summaries (TS), which provide an accurate, interesting and readable summary of most research projects carried out by the State's Research Services & Library. TSs may be written on regular research projects, implementation projects, pooled fund projects or on new developments from previous research (innovation updates). The TSs are disseminated widely through the State's Research Services & Library website and blog, the Accelerator newsletter and other avenues to help make State practitioners and partners aware of innovative methods and technologies that may improve the Minnesota transportation system. TSs also help promote the value of the State's Research Services & Library programs and services and contribute to the transparency of the research program though presentation of the contracting and financial details of research projects:
Through this contract the Contractor will work closely with the State to develop and deliver Technical Summaries along with internal evaluation forms completed for each research project. The Contractor will provide interview, writing and editing services in a coordinated manner in close cooperation with the State's technical liaison and project coordinator.
