Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The State contracted with Barr Engineering Company to provide assistance with oversight of the hydraulics design portion of the detail design for the new Interstate 90 (I-90) and US 61/14 approach roadways and interchange on a new Mississippi River bridge crossing. The detail design work included grading, surfacing, bridges, retaining walls, ponds, culverts, storm sewer, and other traffic features. The Contractor provided the State with oversight for the hydraulics design portion of the detail design.
