Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The State needed assistance in developing highway design plans needed for letting and construction of three highway improvement projects; State Projects 8705-18, 8706-23 and 8712-31, on Highways 67 and 212. Assistance was needed on these projects due to an unusually large number of improvement projects scheduled for the 2015 construction season. The State’s staff would not have been able to deliver the required plans in time for letting and construction without this assistance.
