Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: MnDOT assumed ownership of the former state highway patrol pistol range on the Arden Hills Training Center property and with ownership, assumed responsibility for investigating and cleaning up the residual lead contamination in soil at the site. The purpose of this contract is to provide assistance to MnDOT in obtaining information on the existence, magnitude and extent of contaminated soil resulting from former pistol range use, design a response action plan for cleaning up the soil, and then implementing that plan. Cleanup was successful, and the MPCA issued a No Further Action letter on April 4, 2016.
