Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The proposed project would allow continued monitoring, data analyses, and annual reports for the existing demonstration site wetlands for an additional three years, bringing the total monitoring period to five years (as required by standard permit conditions). The effect of established treatments on native plant percent cover, species richness and diversity will be the primary focus, with special attention to monitoring and control of invasive plant species. Additional vegetation monitoring plots will also be established on other mitigation sites within the U.S. Trunk Highway 53 reconstruction corridor to evaluate their progress.
