High Fidelity Simulation of Bridge Foundation Scou
99008W160
The purpose of the contract was to analyze the scour at Br 9321, I694 over the Mississippi River. The Bridge is currently rated scour critical due to past limited modeling capabilities. The site is hydraulically complex and required a high fidelity computer simulation to predict scour depths at the piers. This technology was not available before.

Good. The time delay in the contract was a result of equipment problems which delayed MnDOT’s required delivery of bathometric information.
Very Good.
Considering the large amount of computer time this project took, I’d say it was a fair price.
Very good. We were satisfied with the final results.
