This was a contract with a video production company, DreamWorld Studios in Eden Prairie, to create a 60-second commercial for use on television and online. The purpose was an ad campaign designed to foster economic development by promoting awareness (in target markets around the country) of Minnesota's prestigious recognition as America's Top State for Business by CNBC and to show Minnesota as a great place to do business, work and live. DEED has no video production capacity so it was necessary to contract for this work.

The contractor created a timeline as part of the proposal and stuck to it beautifully despite significant additions to the work that necessitated the contract amendment. They were totally dependable in keeping the project on track.
The quality of the contractor's work was wonderful. They had a highly professional, creative team that went above and beyond throughout the process to ensure delivery of an excellent product that met our needs and exceeded our expectations. They had the knowledge, ability and flexibility to adapt to circumstances (such as weather issues that impeded filming) and were willing to do whatever necessary to meet our needs and deliver the project on a tight deadline.
We received 8 proposals. The contractor's proposal was right in the middle (4th lowest). We amended the contract from a 30-second ad to a 60-second one. We added an additional filming day, went from 5 to 7 locations requiring a full video team; added 5 other locations requiring a B-roll camera crew, scripting writing and computer-generated imagery. The contractor's proposed and amended cost was extremely reasonable for the incredible amount of work they did.
Excellent. Top notch. They consistently exceeded our expectations. They were creative, dependable, professional and easy to work with. They communicated clearly and were nimble at adjusting to changes that came up. They were always suggesting ways to improve the ad. We would be thrilled to work with them again.
