State requires a qualified historian to collaborate on and review engineering plans and specifications developed for the proposed work and conduct on-site monitoring of the rehabilitation in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s (SOI) Standards. Collaboration to meet project objectives will include site visits, meetings with State, and conference calls with State to review project issues and collaborate on preparation of bridge rehabilitation plans and specifications in compliance with the SOI Standards. Contractor will participate in early coordination on rehabilitation methods and review the engineering plans and specifications at 60 and 90 percent drafts and review final documents for compliance with the SOI Standards. Contractor’s Senior Engineer will provide technical advice to State on rehabilitation methods and maintenance plan. Up to eight meetings are included in the scope for project meetings which may include meetings with design team, pre-construction meeting, and public involvement meetings, as needed. State also requires Contractor to perform on-site monitoring of the rehabilitation work for compliance with the Plan and SOI Standards. Up to eight field visits are included in the scope for on-site monitoring. Meetings and field visits will be attended by one senior historian.
