WCEC Envir Consultants were already involved in fund finance work led by the Petroleum Remediaion Program. Work coordinated and mobilization cost sharing with other active MPCA managed remediation projects in the area.

Due to unforseen difficulties with the existing property layout, required setbacks for well location and placement could only be allowed by first proceeding through the MDH Well Division's variance permitting process. In addition, there were difficulties in scheduling field drilling and trenching sub-contractors, and securing necessary hook-up of new well service. Ultimately the contractor still met the objectives in a timely manner when possible.
The contractor's quality was satisfactory.
The contractor managed the budget well. One change order was necessary, since additional hours were needed for Task 1 labor to work with the MDH Well Unit and Variance due to set-back distance new well needed from existing septic system. One amendment was needed to access $936 of the $3865 contingency funds in the original work order.
The PM, although needing to work with both MDH local and HQ contacts, may have missed a certain advance phone call to MDH prior to commencement of well drilling at the property and as required in the MDH Variance. This has been a difficult project on account of much coordination and resource mobilization to the project site. WCEC has done a superb job of coordinating with similar, concurrent, remediation projects, as well as necessary coordination with the private residence.
