Evaluate the contractor's overall performance Sean Makela was the grading and base field inspector assigned under this contract. Sean was a good worker and had perfect attendance. Sean was more of a materials inspector and didn’t have quite as much background with MnDOT specifications or general inspection duties. Although, Sean was very willing to learn and if he didn’t know something would ask. Sean would make other MnDOT inspectors aware of construction issues that he saw and would review his plan frequently to find answers to questions. The MnDOT inspectors said that he was an asset to the project.
