Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: MnDOT plans to complete a flood mitigation project on TH 22 south of St. Peter and north of the Minnesota River. The project includes raising the grade of TH 22 and the addition of flow through structures that in essence amount to a new bridge, and will also include acquisition of parcels to facilitate the project. The purpose of this contract is to provide assistance to MnDOT in obtaining information on the existence, magnitude and extent of contaminated soil and groundwater contamination in the project corridor. This information will be used by MnDOT to determine final project design plans/specifications and to obtain liability protections.
