Lock and Dam 1 Fish Barrier Evaluation and Review
{Empty}
Funds were provided to the US Army Corps of Engineers to expedite evaluation of MN DNR's proposed major modifications, electric fish barrier, to Lock and Dam 1 on the Upper Mississippi River in accordance with 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408). The electric fish barrier was deemed high priority due to the threat of invasive carp to northern MN's aquatic resources. Beginning construction as soon as possible was deemed crucial for success of the project.
