Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: Document and verify current Firewall rules. Assist with new firewall design and implementation. Including proposed implementation changes and a written project implementation and decommissioning plan following our current change management process. Convert and implement rules on new firewall following all change management procedures. Monthly progress reports delivered to the Network Operations Unit Supervisor. Participation in all related meetings will be required. My unit did not have the necessary skills or the time for the new product that was implemented by MNIT Enterprise.

Evaluate the contractor's timeliness The contractor was very prompt in all aspects of this contract. The work and updates were always very thorough. Other communications were always dealt with in a very timely manner. The contractor always kept me informed as to where he was and what he was working on.

Evaluate the contractor's quality The contractor knew and understood the new equipment and jumped right in helping us get a start on our migration. The contractor was very knowledgeable and learned our environment very quickly.

Evaluate the contractor's cost This was the first contract that I was involved with, but I think that for what we asked for and received was very reasonable.

Evaluate the contractor's overall performance Overall the contractor was very good. He not only provided what we were asking for but kept my staff in the loop and helped them understand what and how he was doing things. He attended all meetings and asked appropriate questions and provide many explanations. He was able to related things to the old environment and provided insight as to how we could make things more efficient.
