Compilation of Data for Contaminants in MN
{Empty}
This project is part of a larger Joint Funding Agreement between MDH and USGS (MMB Cert # 33230).

USGS compiled water quality-related data from studies pertaining to contaminants of emerging concern in Minnesota. The data compiled included MN studies, defined as studies in which at least part of the sample set comes from MN. With this data collected, both USGS and MDH will be able to prioritize contaminants for review and further study as well as have monitoring results all compiled in one place, making it easier to find data.

The contractor was delayed in completing the contract objectives and required a three-month no-cost extension to the project deadline. However, this did not create any problems at MDH with regard to evaluating and using the final product.
The contractor was responsive to MDH’s comments on draft and preliminary versions of the database product. The final product addressed all major issues that MDH had identified, but there were a few minor issues remaining at the end of the contract performance period. The contractor has been responsive to MDH’s requests to clarify and/or correct issues as they arise.
The contractor stayed within the constraints of the budget.
The overall performance was good. The contractor responded well to MDH requests for changes to the database design during the planning stages. The final product of the contract (a database of environmental monitoring data) will be useful to us in our chemical review and evaluation work.
Yes
No negative actions. The only significant issues were (1) an unforeseen delay in the work that required an extension of the deadline; and (2) a misunderstanding that resulted in a billing error at the end of the contract. Both issues were resolved without difficulty.
