Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: This Contract provided maintenance support to the Minnesota Statewide Regional ITS Architecture by updating the existing architecture in conformance with the latest version of the National ITS Architecture. This included updating the architecture documentation and the architecture database using the latest Turbo Architecture Software.

The architecture maintenance activities were performed throughout the duration of the project with an updated architecture completed and submitted to MnDOT at its conclusion.

The Contract was necessary in order for the State of Minnesota to remain in compliance with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rules with regard to its National Intelligent Transportation Systems Architecture document. It was reasonable there were no staff with the skills and expertise necessary to update the ITS architecture available for the work.

As a result, this contributed to the project success!
