It would identify creative solutions for allowing people in small towns/rural areas to have mobility and access beyond owning a car or depending on state-supported transit. It would also look at innovative use of social media and other technological advances to organize travel.
The results of this work would be a compendium of alternatives that MnDOT and other entities could apply to smaller cities to reduce automobile dependency and increase multimodalism.
