Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: State plans to construct approximately 2 miles from CSAH 81 to I94 of TH 610 as the first stage of SP 2771-37 in Maple Grove. An interchange will also be constructed at Maple Grove Parkway and the new TH 610. SP 2771-102 is the piece connecting 105th Avenue to 101st Avenue. The project includes right of way acquisition, utilities, relocation of a power line tower, storm sewer, ponds, frontage road and local roadway connections. The purpose of this contract is to complete a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Update and a Phase II Drilling Investigation of any suspect areas in the project area and including planned right of way (ROW) property acquisitions. The purpose of this work is to identify to the extent possible any sources of contamination in the project area that could impact planned construction and related ROW property acquisitions, and to identify the presence, magnitude and extent of contaminated soils and/or groundwater that could affect the project. This information will be used by State to determine final project design plans and specifications.
