They set out clear timelines for deliverables and work to be completed on the front end of the contract with our team. The majority of deliverable deadlines were met and if they were not going to be met the vendor reached out and talked with us to work out an alternative timeline.
The vendor provided high quality deliverables that were well thought out and provided the information we had hoped when we contracted with them. We were in regular contact with them through biweekly calls which allowed us to have great discussions around the work to make the product even higher quality. The group listened to us when we thought they were off track on something, challenged us to think deeply on what we were really wanting to get at in the messaging research and were just a joy to work with.
The cost for the services we received was on the higher end of the estimates we received from other vendors in the RFP process. However, because of the deep engagement strategies they were proposing with our partners it was not unexpected that this type of work would be more labor intensive and thereby, come at a higher cost. Because we had two goals for this work 1) provide an evidence based message toolkit and, 2) engage partners in discussions around messaging for system transformation that also help partners better what system transformation means for the public health system.
The vendor provided high quality services, were very flexible and understood what we were trying to do in MN in doing messaging research and toolkit development around system transformation. They provided clear evidence based products and helped us to think through how we would do a train the trainer on the messaging toolkit. The performance of the contractor was very high level and we would contract them again for similar needs with no hesitation.
